Why is Special Nutrition Required?
The bone and feather development of puppies occurs very quickly. During this process, parent birds need 3-4 times more protein and calcium than normal to maintain their own energy and to feed their offspring. Giving only dry seed (feed) may cause developmental disorders (French molt, crooked legs, etc.).
Egg Food Recipe
The basic food that should be given at least 3-4 days a week and every day during the incubation and feeding period is egg food.
- 1 boiled egg (yolk and white grated)
- 1 teaspoon grated carrot (juice squeezed)
- 1 teaspoon semolina (to remove moisture)
- Quarter teaspoon of probiotic and calcium powder
💡 Tip: Food Spoils
Egg food should not remain in the cage for more than 4-5 hours, otherwise it may produce bacteria and cause poisoning. It is ideal to give it in the morning and collect it at noon.
Calcium and Minerals
There must be squid bones, mineral blocks and beak stones in the cage. Calcium deficiency causes egg compression in female birds and bone curvatures in chicks.
