Hatching (0-7 Days)
When the chicks hatch, they are blind and completely hairless. The mother bird feeds the chicks with a special secretion called crop milk. It is important not to disturb the nest too often during this period.
Feathering and Opening of Eyes (8-20 Days)
About 8-10. eyes are opened in these days. Starting from the 12th day, the first feather capsules (pin feathers) begin to appear. Starting from the 15th day, the mutation and colors of the puppy gradually become apparent. 7-10 days for a bracelet (ring) to be attached to the cage during this period. Between days is the ideal time.
Feeding Fall (30-35 Days)
Approaching the 30th day, the young jump from the nest to the cage floor (nest jumping). The father bird usually teaches the chicks to crack shellless seeds on the cage floor. When the baby breaks the food on its own (falls into the food), it should be taken to a separate cage.
